The Big Heart Brigade in a not for profit, 100% volunteer, 501 (C) 3 organization. In 1992 a few local businessmen and residents who wanted to make a difference in the community they lived, came together and founded this very diverse and unusual group. Over the years, civil servants, community leaders and other citizens who are dedicated to a "hands on" service approach, have joined them. Their motto is "Coming to the Rescue". The Big Heart Brigade is 100% volunteer organization and has no paid administrators or board members. Every dollar that is raised goes directly back into the community thereby maximizing the impact of every dollar.

The Big Heart Brigade appreciates your consideration in support of our efforts to "Come to the Rescue" of those in need in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties. We know that your contribution, along with others, will enable us to reach our goal of 40,000 meals on Thanksgiving Day. By coordinating the efforts of numerous organizations and charities, the Big Heart Brigade has been able to help thousands of people through out our four country area. In a region full of affluence, there is still an enormous amount of need. It is only by coming together that we will be able to truly make this day of giving thanks a special one for all our fellow neighbors.
